Rating: F15T8/CW good for bulbs

The shipping box was a bit wrinkled (UPS) but Revain packed it well to make sure it was safe. It's actually brighter than the competitors I replace but since I had it well before July 2001 (19 year old wow) it wasn't that bright until it died a few weeks ago. I hope it lasts as long but if it dies quickly I have a spare as there are 2 packs.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Trust the post! (Durability can't be tested while I shrug.)

Son rebuilt some old 'non-working' aquarium lights with these parts and some new 'bulb holders' and ballasts who have also bought here and both worked better than ever! It cost about a tenth of what new ones would cost and required "limited prior knowledge" and probably half an hour! Yes! Oh, and PS, NONE of the pears didn't break in the post, lol.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No power

Quality headlights at a great price

When I first bought them I installed them and they didn't work. You could shake them and hear some rattling inside, so I figured they were just broken or defective. A month later my wife tried to see if they were working and she managed to get them to work. Wonderful. I twisted and pushed and pulled them and they never worked but they do. I see a lot of people saying they bought them and they don't work but you can let your wife try. I'm just saying.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Something different

Strangely, these two bulbs don't work together.

Okay, I have a couple of lights that each use 2 fluorescent lights. When I put these two new bulbs in the lamp together, they don't light up, they fight, but they don't light up fully. However, when I separated them and placed them in different fixtures along with other lamps, both worked. Big. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Edit: A few months later they are blinking. unreliable rubbish (actually I think they could be used) DO NOT BUY

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Fairly good

Worst lightbulb, don't waste your time!

If I could give negative stars I would. They came in 2 parcels wrapped in the thinnest bubble wrap, placed in a box, with another heavier box of bulbs, no other packing material. So when I opened the box and took out the headlights, I wasn't surprised to find something dangling from the bulbs. When I turned them on they didn't light up fully and buzzed so loud. I ended up going to the local hardware store and paying more, but they worked! The photo shows how all 4 bulbs light up. Terrible…

A bit disappointed with the bulbs

Only one bulb really worked properly, the other had a loose part which rattled inside and flickered with a VERY faint light when I could even get it to turn on could, but the one that works, so-so quality. Not the gloomiest, not the brightest, not even the coldest shade of white. Tried to get even coverage at 60 gallons. The brand new bulb was noticeably dimmer compared to my 6 year old Aqueon bulb that I had installed on the other side. Tried to be "thrifty". I will spend $10-$15 more and buy…

Pros
  • Fluorescent bulb 15w
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Works best with bulbs

I bought these to replace 2 bulbs in an old random bulb and they worked great. It's nice to know that all of those 15-watt bulbs are pretty much interchangeable. It would be nice to use LED bulbs instead, but it's cheap to just swap out the bulbs. I still don't understand how 2 packs of these bulbs cost half a bulb from most other suppliers. I wanted a 4000K color but for 1/4 the price of a lightbulb I figured I could adapt. The lights themselves are very bright. Significantly brighter than…

Pros
  • 18 inches long
Cons
  • There are new competitors

So far so good, full coverage at 36 inches deep.

Even though I only used one of the two packs, it still lights up. I hope so because it's been a month at most. They were a bear to climb out of the plastic seal attached to the two boxes they are in, but it's better to have them boxed almost too well than to have them fall out of the box just to look at them , or? Durability is one thing. they want to be evaluated along with the packaging, so in the paragraph above. I use these lights on 24" aquarium strips. I haven't had any real algae growth…

Pros
  • Fluorescent lamp type LF15T8/CW
Cons
  • Socket required
