🚽 Camco 39053 Gate Valve: Convenient Ready-to-Use Design for 3-inch Sewer Fittings with Clear Adapter included Review

Before I bought this valve, I drove about a half every time I drove to a new park and removed the drain plug Gallon of smelly liquid poured out to connect the hose. I saw and bought this product online. When it arrived I simply removed my sewage plug and put it back in. Installation is as easy as twisting the lid. Now when I go to a new park and take off the drain cover, not a drop of water comes out!

I use it as a flow regulator when emptying a 15 gallon portable overflow tank into a toilet or sewage station. The product is well built. The lid in the photo is not the one that comes with the product, although the one that comes with it has four latches and closes well. Installed this valve in my RV because sometimes not often but once too often black or gray valves wouldn't close tight so when I removed the cover from the sewer line some sewage will open up splash the floor. This valve prevents that. Thanks to the clear plastic you can also see when the tanks are empty and if you have a tank rinse function you can see when the water is clear. I would highly recommend and would buy again.

I like that there are no more leaks now. In all the years I've had RVs, the fuel tank valves always started leaking. This flap allows a visual check if one of the tank valves is leaking and allows easy connection of the drain hose. While this is an undesirable messy task, this valve can be cleaned and lubricated to prevent leaks. The only thing I changed is the cap so I can also connect a hose so I can drain the gray water with a garden hose.

Firstly yes this is what I needed to fix a leaking gray fuel tank valve. Fits on the old pipe as it should, but I think maybe it will if you try to unscrew the end cap and you might as well pull the whole thing off. Since we buy these things to fix leaking original valves, this can be a disaster. It would make more sense to place the hooks that connect to the original tube so that when the cap is loosened the twisting action actually tightens the case.

Only had to use it on this trip south. To replace a similar Camco that appeared to have fallen off on our recent trip home. This is the main problem with them as they don't stick very well. With that I used tape and duct tape and glued whatever I could to the main valve. Hope this solves the problem. There's not really a place to screw it to and I didn't want to use glue in case I wanted to take it off. Overall, Camco products could be a lot better. Probably Made in China, what can I say.

I ordered because it had a clear section. I made a continuous cut in conjunction with my macerator. my ears are broken I ordered a new valve with a large clear section. Since the new valve is not a rotary valve, I could not connect it to the main drain. I had to send it back and re-order the Valterra valve as it rotates and the valve handle can be rotated separately from the fitting. A new valve would be great, but it doesn't work in tight spaces because the ears are rotated 90 degrees away…

Great product just in case you've been raving about it for a while and know something might happen when you haven't, then let me be first to say your stuff happens, and if you don't have a way to stop the flow of that stuff, you're going to be covered in it, and I can promise you, whoever you are, your stuff stinks, that thing will cover you in stuff because you can see it and it will cut off the flow if you have a broken tank valve so you can dump it without making a mess.
