Four bayonets for a better fit

I've been using the Valtera version of this cover for a long time. He only has two bayonets for filling, I broke one off. That put me in a bad situation. I was about to order another one when I saw this version with four bayonets to attach all four eyelets to my sewer fitting. This makes the seal tighter and also gives some headroom if one breaks. I think it's worth mentioning what it's for. This cap allows you to connect a garden hose to your RV's sewage fitting and use it to drain greywater…

Just what I needed for sewage and sewage

As the motorhome ages the valves start to leak a bit, mostly on the gray tank. (At least that's my hope). I use that and put a small plastic ball valve on the end of the hose. When it's time to connect, I put a bucket under the block and turn on the ball valve. If I detect a leak through the valves, it runs into a bucket so I can flush it down the drain. Then I can remove the cap and connect with no mess or fuss. Unfortunately my valves are way below my trainer so I can put off repairs until…

Read below why I only gave it 4 stars

Camco products are usually very strong for connecting sewer hoses to vans or trailers and I have the exact same cap bought last September the year. (2019). I connected a hose to it and literally 2 weeks ago I noticed a big crack right at the base of the plastic fitting so I had to order more (April 2020). This RV doesn't move from the yard, so there's no reason the lid would break from travel or repeated hose removal. I have used other Camco products and this is the first problem I have…

Closes tight for plumbing

Our old sewer cap was fine until our black sewer shut-off valve stopped closing completely. I'm still working on making it close better. There is probably something stuck to it that is leaking liquids. The old lid's seal wasn't as thick and comfortable anymore, and was held in place with just two pins instead of four as here. It had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. It has a nice big rubber gasket and four pins to keep fluid from going through my check valve. Our backyard neighbors at

Must be! for plumbing

There are two items that I think every motorhome owner should add to their rig: a drain cap with hose connector and a Valterra T58 rotary valve. The screw valve is great insurance in case one of your black or gray valves didn't fully close (or you got distracted while backing up and left the gray knob open). If you have two gray tanks, you can use the rotary valve to open both and balance the tanks without causing much chaos. Find out when you do this. My family mostly camps in the outback…
