Worth the Money: Hydration Packs

It was smaller than I expected so I bought a large one. That turned out to be good. Walked five miles on it on a hot, muggy day. Hardly noticed he was there. Two water bottles are awesome and not bulky. I also didn't know there was a phone pocket on the left strap. Good product.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expensive

Seams not secure

Vest is comfortable and fresh. I weigh 160 pounds and am 1.70 m tall. I asked for size L but it is loose and bumpy. I regret not asking for size M upper right pocket which resulted in losing my car keys after a 10k cross country run. Replacing the keys took 8 hours and cost $100. After that I had to sew the bag myself and it looks awful. I find the stitching unreliable and in dire need of a key holder. I'm not happy with it anymore.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great gift in hydration packs

This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my husband who runs a lot and doesn't want to hold water bottles but he signed up for a Thanksgiving half marathon. Guess who got their Christmas present first? He weighs 190 or 200 eating pizza for a week. He is 6 feet tall and I ordered a large one. At first he felt very small. But after a few wears he got comfortable with the way it feels. He loves it and thinks it looks so cool. I highly recommend purchasing a straw, sold separately, so theโ€ฆ

The vest is great, the bottles are leaking!

As with my portable bottle review, these bottles do not seal well around the threads. I am so disappointed in this product! My Aonijie bottles are much better, they don't leak. The vest is lightweight, breathable and the pockets and storage are great. Soft bottles are terrible! If they are compressed, they flow along the thread. If laid on their side, they will leak (with the valve closed, of course). This is not an insulated bottle. All 5 of my bottles (I bought extra) do this. I wish I couldโ€ฆ

Perfect with small adjustments

This vest is amazing (with a few adjustments) and for the money you can't beat it. I am 5ft 9.5in, 180lbs, medium size fits perfectly. Since the bottles sit a bit lower on the chest I ordered the camel extension tubes and they are perfect. There's also a 1 liter platypus bladder that fits nicely in your back pocket. And if you tie knots with fasteners (make a bunny loop), then the vest will not untie when running, and the knots are easy to adjust if necessary. The vest is very light andโ€ฆ

Bottles bounce as you walk

Not bad for the price but I'm already in the market for another vest after using this one maybe 20 times. It has plenty of storage space - I usually have a phone, various energy gels, keys (and even sandals and swimming trunks once). Despite everything, it is light and comfortable. The main problem, and it's huge, is that the vest bounces like crazy with full water bottles - to the point where I usually only wear one at a time and use the other hand to support the one that's still on. Vest. Myโ€ฆ
