I have received and opened my package. I ordered everything in one version. Opened his legs. It will hold up well for what I need it for. Campfire chicken, hamburgers, corn, yum! It came with a zipper which was cool but the zipper broke. I think I've fixed it now. I'm not sure if I'll leave it there or not. It's okay because I didn't even know he was coming with him. The product was shipped quickly and got to me in excellent condition, however the product is very thin and smaller than most fire grills. It's a good thing that it comes with a carrying case, but the hob isn't entirely flat and has a dome shape, no idea if that was a manufacturer's fault or if it was intentional. Send back.

It took about 15 minutes of cooking before the gate began to deform. Cannot handle the heat of the layer of coal on the floor with legs outstretched, making its design essentially impractical. It stopped warping after raising the grilling surface an additional 6 inches, but it depended on finding evenly sized and even rocks. In general, even if the price is cheap, it is not worth buying an iron cat grate.

It's about 8 inches off the ground and it worked great for our purpose. We cooked a few steaks on it and they turned out great. It's big enough for 4 to 5 large steaks. We put some hot coals from the fire under it and they immediately boiled. no problems with bending or deformation. Maybe next time I'll use nonstick spray because it sticks to the grate a bit. Worth the investment.

I like it and I wonder how long it will last. I used it 8 to 10 times at my last camp. I didn't fry it. I've only used it to set pans, pots and pans. The grille is a bit warped but I don't see it as a problem and I think if I can get 3 or 4 more rides it will be worth it. There's a sturdy, heavy cast-iron version you can buy at Wal-Mart, but this version is lightweight and can be carried in a backpack.
