If you have bulky lenses for a small body, this plate is for you.

When I connected my OG Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera to a Panasonic Lumex 14-140 zoom lens, the lens was actually larger than the camera itself. Difficult to set up tripods and such, but not with this thing.

Such a great discount on a much needed accessory!

I need to buy a small stand for my DSLR. When I started looking, I saw products for $60, $70 and up. That's just funny. Then I came across the Camvate Baseplate. For just over $17 (including shipping and taxes!) I got exactly what I needed. To top it off, I ordered yesterday and it was delivered today. Already installed and in use!

I bought this base plate to build a mobile unit. I attached my solar pack (tripod-like gorilla) to the baseplate and then used a flexible arm and a "magic arm" to attach the light, recorder and microphone. The base is solid and can support the weight of all of these items, and then some. I tested the same setup with my DSLR and it worked there too. I love this plate.
