Disappointing Light Socket Adapter

This industrial and scientific lighting component failed to deliver. The adapter was difficult to install and didn't fit securely, leaving us with an unstable light fixture. The upside was that it was compatible with a variety of bulb types. Unfortunately, the cons far outweighed the pros. Don't waste your time and money on this product.

Pros
  • Allows for easy conversion of medium base sockets to candelabra base sockets for added versatility in lighting options.
Cons
  • May require some technical knowledge to properly install and use, which could be a barrier for some consumers.

Glad they exist

Used to convert my driveway light pole to standard incandescent bulbs. What a difference between 3 mini candelabra lamps and 2 equivalent 100W 5000K LED lamps! The driveway camera now records in color all night instead of switching to black and white.

Pros
  • Bulb Sockets
Cons
  • High Price

There are mini candelabra sockets

There are also medium sized candelabra sockets, sometimes referred to simply as candelabra. I have several lamps. So very carefully I order these minimal candelabra on a standard base and they fit perfectly. And now, instead of the special Philips T4 bulbs, which cost $8 per bulb, I can just use a standard 84-cent bulb, and I've even been able to use a new LED bulb, which is much cooler and lasts 22 years. The light output is the same as the old Philips 100W, but lasts significantly longer. E26
