I'm used to a camera with a lot of different settings so it took me a while to get used to it. The AUTO setting works reasonably well in most situations, and it's a nice little camera to carry around in your purse or pocket at all times. My only complaint is that (as far as I can tell) the only way to choose a focus point (instead of the camera trying to figure out what you want to photograph) is to set it to program, which means I can choose a different one must also set attributes.
