Canon "PowerShot cameras "

This camera has - (for the foreseeable future) - replaced our Canon 940. We'll keep looking for a better camera, but if something breaks at the worst possible moment, get quickly available products from a manufacturer you trust - in this case CANON. Christmas and New Year's as well as several family birthdays between December and March. We needed a camera and so far it has met our needs. We will keep and use this camera. but now we're looking for something like our earlier, suddenly retired…

Overall I'm happy with: Digital cameras

My old Canon finally wanted to retire and stopped working. I bought this to replace it. It works just as well as my other camera so I'm happy with it. It's small and compact, which I also like because I like to put it in my pocket to take out when "unexpected" events happen. This camera fits the bill perfectly. I also like the WiFi feature to transfer photos to my phone. I've used it a few times now to transfer photos to my phone and then send them to other people when they ask. I'm giving the…

Pros
  • Built-in Wi-Fi technology for convenience on the go
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great shots: Compact digital cameras

I bought this camera to replace a Canon camera I had for 10 years that I somehow lost. I really liked the original Canon digital camera so I bought it when I saw this one on Revain for a great price. It's easy to take pictures with the camera by just reading the instruction manual. On a trip to Europe I took over 500 pixels and scaled it down to 438 using the camera's large screen. I developed the photos at my local Walgreens and they are fantastic. The photos of Versailles are so detailed and…

Pros
  • 12x optical zoom (25-300 mm)
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

This is not a full review as I have not used this camera for a long time and returned it to Revain. I'm an amateur photographer doing mostly events/concerts and some personal photography and I have a Canon EOS 7D with lots of SLR lenses. So it was only intended as a second camera for fast travel, for convenience and pocketability. My biggest problems with this camera in order: 1. Photos and videos can only be transferred in two ways: - Wi-Fi (to a smartphone or laptop) - take out the SD card…
