This is not a full review as I have not used this camera for a long time and returned it to Revain. I'm an amateur photographer doing mostly events/concerts and some personal photography and I have a Canon EOS 7D with lots of SLR lenses. So it was only intended as a second camera for fast travel, for convenience and pocketability. My biggest problems with this camera in order: 1. Photos and videos can only be transferred in two ways: - Wi-Fi (to a smartphone or laptop) - take out the SD card, put it in the laptop and copy the files And in As a rule, if you remove and reinsert SD cards repeatedly, the thin plastic cover quickly fails. Older generation cameras had a basic micro USB so you could connect to a laptop which used to be so good/easy. The EOS 7D has this feature, as does the Sony cameras (HXVxxx series and WCD). And what's worse, do I need Canon software to get these photos? It might be nice to have some extra features in Canon's advanced photo editing software. But with Picasa/Google Photos/Adobe Photoshop Elements/Lightroom etc which most tech savvy customers have, or the built in Windows and MAC photo tools for those who aren't really into photography and just want to take quick shots, the Canon software is superfluous and redundant.2. A separate charger causes problems. While having the camera in your bag is pretty handy, do you need to take your charger etc with you when you travel, or pre-charge and take a few extra spare batteries with you? It would be great to switch to basic AAA.3 rechargeable batteries. Although it's fairly cheap, the photo quality could be a bit better. (Not bad, I just expect more from Canon!). On the plus side is a great camera for the price that takes pictures very quickly and has pretty good face recognition. I would have liked this camera if it weren't for the first 2 negatives I wrote above. Without these issues I would have given 6 stars.
