Print true 4x6 photos at home or on the go, works with Linux

Don't be fooled by this printer's 300 dpi rating. Dye-sublimation technology prints dots in true color, unlike inkjet printers which require many more dots per inch as they eject many microscopic single color droplets over an area of "dots" to make them appear as a single color from a normal viewing distance. The CP-760 photographs are indistinguishable from those you order in a darkroom. This requires special Canon paper and ink, but the Canon KP-108IN Color Paper Set (3115B001) has everything

BEWARE! Office supplies

This printer is easy to use and prints great quality photos, so after a few years of use I ordered another one when it stopped working. I received a damaged return from someone. I sent it back and ordered another one and AGAIN got the faulty printer back. Beware of this old printer model, please order a new version.

Pleasantly surprised

First of all: for the price there is nothing better. I had a choice between this Canon and similar models from Epson and HP, but chose the Selphy CP760 to shoot Santa Claus. The printer is small (although, as others have noted, you have to leave a few inches back and forth for the paper tray and print sequence) and easily fits in one of my Lowepro bags, including extra paper and ink cartridges. The IMO print quality was excellent for what it is and the fact that the image is instantly dry to…

Good little printer if you need one

If you absolutely need to print by yourself, this is a good printer to buy. Bottom Line: Most photo labs will print cheaper, with better quality control, known sizes, and a known press life. Quality: This sublimation printer corresponds to laboratory quality. Prints are crisp and well colored. (I use a color calibration tool for my monitor so I know the colors are correct on the printer. I suspect this might be an issue with other reviewers who have complained about color variations.) Cost…

Fantastic miniature photo lab

This little sublimation printer has exceeded all my expectations! I am a graduate of NYIP (New York Institute of Photography) and have been a photographer for, say, many, many years. This miniature darkroom blew me away from the moment I assembled it with relative ease, right through to the very first print of one of my daughters who recently graduated with a degree. Color saturation and skin tone were reproduced exactly as in any large darkroom. I chose this printer because I needed a small…

Amazing printer for the size

I was expecting a bigger printer and when I saw the size I thought it might not be able to provide print quality. What a pleasant surprise awaited me. The images look professional. I've used it with some students to take free graduation photos and the kids who did it were so thrilled with the results I had to stop them or they played with it all night. The only improvement I see is that it came with a battery. This would make it more versatile. In its current form, being able to get such a…

What You Buy Works

I have owned and loved a Selphy CP760 compact printer for many years. I printed many photos from the camera card. Served at least 10 years. He stopped working. Wanted to get another, went to Revain, found the same model. Sent and received on time. It did not work. continue to say that the paper jam cleared, and then the ink cartridge is low. I didn't even print a single picture. Getting the cartridge was problematic. I sent it back to the person Revane sent it to me. They returned the money…

Good little printer - avoid software

This is my second dye under printer and is better in size, noise and speed. Image quality is similar, so still very good. I opened the box and set everything up quickly, the paper tray and ink only go one way so it's easy to use. The problems started when I installed the software. The install was fine, but when I tried to use it I just couldn't find how to get it to print. I'm a geek, I build my own machines and play with a lot of software so I can usually figure it out, but in this case I had…
