Not a bad buy, well worth the money.

First of all, I’ll say that in a year and a half this flash let me down 1 time - it just didn’t turn on and that’s it. But this one time I forgive her. Everything would be fine, but I compared it with Nikon's eight hundred . that flash has an additional stray - such a hitch for the fifth battery, with which the rate of fire (already rather big) increases much. It is a pity that we (Canon) do not have such things. The screen of the Nikon sb800 is much more informative and the settings are more…

Pros
  • Relatively simple, light and powerful. In principle - meets all the requirements.
Cons
  • 1. No battery indicator; 2. There is no regular diffuser-burdock; 3. In E-TTL in the head-back position (with a separately purchased burdock) on the device in M-mode, it does not always work adequately; 4. The battery door could be more serious; 5. There is no possibility of alternative food (see comment); 6. Responsiveness of buttons is not instantaneous.

Good product for me, no problems at all.

We had to get rid of the first outbreak, the Chinese one, there was no sense in it, money thrown away. And with 430, I realized what a flash should be. The quality of photos has improved significantly: sharpness is higher, color reproduction is more accurate. Therefore, the price for it is higher than for Chinese ones, and in my opinion, this is justified. It is better to pay extra and immediately get quality than dubious savings, which then turn into hemorrhoids and ruined the pleasure of…

Pros
  • Powerful, lightweight, compact, comfortable, quickly recharges, the head has a large angle of rotation, both upwards and to the sides - this is a great help for reflected light. By the way, I don’t have any backlash in the mount, which is talked about a lot as a drawback, the flash sat like a glove and does not stagger. Ease of managing settings - they can be set from the camera. There is a "card" diffuser.
Cons
  • "Recessed" buttons do not cause inconvenience, so I will not attribute them to shortcomings either. But the fact that there is no battery charge indicator is an inconvenience. But, in general, it is also not critical.

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

I bought the last (from the window) flash in the store, immediately alerted the backlash of the "head" (I took the 580th for a test, there was no backlash), drove away from the store and immediately visited the thought of why I took the last one, I had to choose. It is necessary to pay tribute to the seller in the store, he said that the delivery will be in a day, come and choose the only thing he says, I don’t think that the situation with the backlash will change dramatically. I come, in the…

Pros
  • Compact, fast recharge (batteries 2700Mah), swivel "head"
Cons
  • Luftit "head"

Good product, good quality, not bad.

In most cases, the flash copes with its work with a bang. BUT, in purely professional terms, there are a number of inconveniences that spoil everything in the world. I do NOT regret that I spent money on it, but I understand that now I will have to buy another 580 just for work. And for studio work, and unhurried photography for your own pleasure - just right. Another very convenient lock on the shoe, not a swivel ring like on many, but a latch - turned and the flash was tightly fastened to…

Pros
  • 1: swivel head 2: power 3: possibility of remote operation 4: fast charging 5: "leg" for installation.
Cons
  • 1: high power consumption. 2: awkward buttons 3: the inability to work remotely from the camera itself 4: no reflector 5: unable to connect external power supply

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

Used with 50D for reportage shooting. Whether you are a hobbyist or an aspiring professional, this flash is for you. She saved me many times, but sometimes she let me down. Shoot in RAW. This will allow the frame to be pulled out if the flash does not fire. And this happens if you shoot in series. Look sometimes. If she misses a puff, give her a second to rest. But the discharge of the battery can not be noticed even by weakened pulses. Carry spares with you just in case. Always enough for ~400

Pros
  • + Spinning head in all directions + Does not eat a lot of batteries + Diffuser (and thanks for that) + Sometimes can even withstand fast bursts + Doesn't get very hot + Not very heavy and big + Price (took for 7500) + Noticeable overall picture improvement + Automatic does a good job + Control from the camera
Cons
  • - I didn’t really like the assembly, it has been playing in the 50D socket since the moment of purchase (I checked several samples). Caught her a couple of times - Can't be a leader - Not very powerful - No card as in the older model - Inconvenient buttons (Although not really needed) - After the episodes it becomes very warm (already scary) - No charging indicator - Not very user friendly menu - Sometimes skips puffs, which can cost the loss of important frames - Backlash after a year of use - Perversions with a homemade reflector - Does not work remotely from the camera

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

An excellent universal option for all users of Canon cameras. Suitable for home shooting, and for more "working" use in active mode. Batteries are not eating very actively. I have enough ordinary Alkaline GPs for 500 frames for sure, and this is if in active mode. If you click a couple of times in a calm, at home there, then, probably, it will be enough for a longer period.

Pros
  • Great flash for any occasion! I've been using it for over 3 years now. Well made, easy handling, good power. Turns fairly smoothly.
Cons
  • Can't be the leader. But this is more of a wish, since this flash was originally something average and universal.

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

Long thought to take Canon SpeedLite 430EX II, Nissin Di622 Mark II or YongNuo Speedlite YN-568EXII. The last two were frightened away by the fact that they quite often came across negative reviews in the sense that they often fail, there are even cases of breakdowns even after 100 puffs. I really did not want to risk a possible loss of money and an outbreak. After a conversation with a very professional photographer, he confirmed his decision to take the Canon SpeedLite 430EX II. He used it…

Pros
  • Reliability, compactness, quite strong and good build quality. It can be used as a slave without any synchronizers from the built-in flash of a camera of such models as 600D / 60D / 7D Who writes that it is flimsy, this is not a hammer or a shovel. For a flash, very high quality and reliable. For amateurs and novice pros, it is better not to find.
Cons
  • DO NOT WRITE THAT THERE IS NO BATTERY CHARGING INDICATOR, THERE IS NO SUCH INDICATOR ON EVEN THE MOST EXPENSIVE FLASH. I see only one drawback, and that is not significant. The head has a stroke of 90 gdadus clockwise, that is, coverage of 270 degrees, but this is not critical

A good product, I advise you to try it.

Hmm, in general, I always take it with me, if I shoot indoors, then a funny joke happened to her :) . In general, she fell out of the camera case and didn’t have time to catch it, she fell from chest level to the marble floor - the pieces are in different directions :), well, I think it’s all a game over, but no. The lid opened - the batteries in different directions, the red glass flew off the sensor, and the reflector cover came out. So - I put it back together, everything works and there is

Pros
  • After the built-in 600D, there are only advantages. Portraits are super, I compared it along the way with 420 - this one is more convenient.
Cons
  • Backlash, after installation on the fotik - dangles. I watched several pieces in different places - everyone has a disease, it doesn’t really bother. But 4 for that. They could have worked, there is no such thing on 420.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

A very good flash for amateurs and even professionals. Various shortcomings and inconveniences, such as backlash of the head, recessed buttons, the absence of a business card - all this, of course, is pure marketing, and this was done on purpose. Such constructive trifles could easily be eliminated at the design stage, but then this flash would begin to compete with the 580th. And competition within the same product line Canon certainly could not allow. Fortunately, all these shortcomings are…

Pros
  • Very powerful. The most correct operation of automation, because. native flash. Metal shoe. Fast reload. Excellent and correct autofocus illumination. The flash, to my surprise, even worked on an old Canon PowerShot SX20 soap box.
Cons
  • The head plays, but not much - it does not affect the work in any way. I did not understand the purpose of the button for fixing the rotation of the head, everything is clearly and reliably fixed there. Inconvenient buttons, although not critical for me, I do not use them. The absence of a business card can also be a disadvantage for someone.

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

very good flash! I myself use it in conjunction with the Canon 50D, the results are always good. the flash head rotates to almost any position, the illumination of the subject gives fast and accurate focus, it calculates the flash power very well. one of the drawbacks is the recessed buttons, but because all flash settings can be controlled directly from the camera menu, it seems that it is not felt. but the lack of a battery indicator is somewhat frustrating, although you gradually begin to…

Pros
  • power, fast reloading, many different settings, clip for mounting, built-in diffuser (up to 14 mm), build quality
Cons
  • buttons are too recessed into the case, there is no battery indicator
