Capezio Kids' Turning Pointe 55 Ballet Shoe: Comfort and Performance for Young Dancers Review

Looks like a quality shoe but is too small. I bought an XL for my daughter who has a size 1 outdoor shoe. The chart says a 1 would be a size 2 so I bought an XL which said it would be a 2-3.

As mentioned in other reviews, they run small compared to street shoe sizes and even a bit small for dance shoes. The large size is perfect for my daughter's size 13 outdoor shoe/size 12 dance shoe foot.

We use these shoes for everyday activities and training. We keep our "team shoes” for performances. They obviously last about 8 hours and my girls dance more. We found this shoe to be thicker and DURABLE. We had them all last season. Great shoes!

I'm not sure if these shoes are just oversized in general, but they are definitely larger. As usual with this brand, the quality is excellent. No complaints! We ordered the smallest size but they are still super roomy. However, my daughter is the best in them!

I bought these to better match my daughter's skin tone and on her darker skin" to look "naked" - it did. The color was great but I didn't like the bottom - like jazz shoes, not ballet flats. Capezio makes them with traditional bottoms, so be sure to look for them.

Here's the thing, I'm usually very good at reading descriptions. As a seasoned dance mom, I screwed up. I saw 3 colors and did not read the description of these colors. I assumed from the picture they were regular nudes, pink and black. You know the usual colors of dance shoes. I needed a "pink" ballet color so I ordered a dark tan. It's an odd color, it's not ballet pink or nude jazz. If you have a strict dance studio. DO NOT buy them. Also order one size larger, they tend to run a little…
