Very Small - Ballet and Dance

Great idea and beautiful design but it was my legs that changed my first 45 minute dance lesson in it. No, I didn't swim, I just danced. I'm a size 8 and had to swap my M for a large that fits me.

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • There are cons

We love it so far. Athletic

We love it. Our little lady finds it better for her turns and just one thing, she has size 3-4 street shoes so the little ones fit well but if she goes up a size we will consider a size up. Let's see how they hold up through the competitive season ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pros
  • Bottom sheet and pre-attached 5/8" main and 3/8" secondary rubbers can be placed in different positions
Cons
  • Minor issues

Not what I expected.!

My daughter has Capezio Turners in size xs. So I thought size S would be correct. No, that is not so. I also have an issue with the soul of the shoe, it says it has to be leather, but it's definitely NOT leather. I do not recommend

Pros
  • Leather upper
Cons
  • old

They will generally slip and slide and turn badly

Why are they called turners when bottoms are so cheap and slippery? If they weren't required by our studio, I would never have received them. Unfortunately they are a slightly different color than the leathers which are $10 cheaper and much better. Of course it's Capezio! Meet for action. The quality has gone south.

Pros
  • 100% leather
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Runs small - wears out quickly

Most dancers who buy these shoes probably don't choose their shoes, but if we had a choice, I wouldn't choose them. They are very, very small. When my daughter (8.5 outdoor shoes) gets a new pair (XL as they are the largest) I wear them around the house for a few days to stretch. Because they're small, they usually last a few months before your thumb pokes a hole in them. I started ordering 2 pairs at a time. We have used Twyla II midsoles in the past and they seemed to fit better and lastโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EVA sole patch
Cons
  • Frequency

Great shoes but the size isn't right

My daughter wears a size 6 women's outdoor shoes and has a narrow to medium foot. I increased the size to 8-9.5 (medium) and they were still too small. I sent them back but will most likely repurchase them in a size 10-11.5 (large) as they seemed to be well made. Revain's brief description suggests that this shoe has a leather sole, but that's not the case. The product description correctly states that the sole is made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), which we really liked. It is smooth enoughโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Interior Sophia Lucia signature on lining for inspiration
Cons
  • Contemporary

Great boot! for shoes

I am a dance teacher and wear a lot of half soles. I had my doubts about Capezio as their quality has dropped somewhat in recent years. I have ordered both medium and large in this style. Sometimes the sizes are a bit off. Surprisingly, Turning Pointe 55 is pretty close. I wear ladies 5.5-6. The media suits me perfectly. They fit my daughter who also wears a women's 7. There is plenty of room in the toe area and the double elastic band ensures a snug fit. I don't know how long they will last as

Pros
  • women: start 1 size larger than regular shoes if you have a wide foot. Men: start 2 sizes larger than your street shoe size.
Cons
  • Expandable
