Description of Car tires Michelin X-Ice Snow 195/60 R15 92H XL TL

MICHELIN X-ICE SNOW winter safety and mobility despite wear The Michelin X-Ice Snow is a new generation of winter tire technology that promises mobility and safety for passenger cars in the harshest climates. The manufacturer notes that the development and testing of prototypes of the model took place in Northern Europe, so it takes into account all possible weather conditions for extreme winter driving. The Michelin X-Ice Snow winter tire is suitable for 85% of modern passenger cars. The model is offered in more than 120 sizes for wheels with a diameter of 14 to 22 inches. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a replacement for the X-ice Xi3, differing from it in a completely redesigned design and new materials. This provides it with a significant superiority, both over its predecessor and similar tires of the world''s leading brands. New tread design The key external difference between this model and its predecessor is the design of the tread pattern. Having retained the V-shaped arrangement of elements, it is characterized by their smaller size, modified shape and increased numbers. This made it possible to significantly improve directional stability and traction and braking properties on snow-covered surfaces. The increased capacity and the more acute angle of the sipes allow the tire to effectively deal with both hydroplaning and slashplaning. Updated slats Another significant innovation is the use of two types of slats. All slots have a "three-dimensional" profile of vertical sipes, thanks to which they retain the rigidity of the blocks, improving handling and stability of traction on cleared asphalt from snow and ice. Due to the ability to be rigidly fixed in the open position, the number of slots has been increased. At the same time, the variable thickness of the slots in the central part allows the tire to better cling to the icy surface covered with a water film. U-shaped lamellas located in the shoulder areas improve handling and traction on slippery surfaces when maneuvering. They are fully preserved even with heavy wear of the running part of the tread. This is due to the increased depth of cut of the sipes, which is a "proprietary" feature of the French brand tires, which distinguishes it from the vast majority of similar tires from other manufacturers. Advanced Compound The tread uses the 2nd iteration of the Flex-Ice compound. It is distinguished from the previous compound by the use of more modern polymers. They significantly improve the tread resistance to abrasion, elasticity at low temperatures, and prevent the destruction of the tread when overheated. The presence of a porous structure of the compound also follows. This solution allows you to additionally dry the contact patch, improving grip on packed snow and ice. Main...

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

The rubber passed my test drive on the M4 Don highway on March 30th, when the entire track in the Rostov region was swept up. Rowing well) and at speed you feel confident. Its pros: Rubber is not noisy and wear-resistant as the manufacturer claims. Time will show. Has some cons: A note to the seller that puts rubber from different countries of production. It is clear that everything is done according to the same standards. But still.

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

The first thing I noticed was the noise. I thought the bearings were buzzing, or the bridge, changed the tires and everything went away. Let's see how they behave in the winter. I'll try to add later

I didn³'t expect the quality to be this good.

Used the X-ICE Nord 2 for eight years, and it performed well throughout that time. I decided to replace it owing to its advanced age, despite the fact that there were no issues with the tread. I planned to buy a pair of X-ICE Nord 4 studs, but the store didn't have the needed size in stock. Because of my uncertainty, I ended up purchasing a pair of X-ICE SNOW without any studs. I personally held both this tire and the Conti Viking Contact 7 in my hands, and I can say with certainty that this…

Pros
  • Very quiet. The tire was produced in 2022, making it the new model for the manufacturer; it has a sturdy sidewall, and its rolling resistance is classified as class C. It performed well during the snowfall in November, it maintains a trajectory that is easy to forecast, and it almost never reacts to the rutting that occurs every day on the Hong Kong Ring Road in the stretch that goes from Volokolamka to Rublyovka). My manufacturing is currently taking place in Poland.
Cons
  • There are very few shops that carry my size (235/55 R19).

For three months, there were two cases of loss of a hook on the Auchan parking lot and tape on days of temperature changes. And even where she had to give up completely, reduce her pedaling by half, she went VERY VERY well for Velcro, not to say confidently at home, but clearly and predictably, and after lowering 0.1 bar she turned into confident but with noise and chewing, so after a day the tinker added 0.1 again. In terms of noise + - like a summer bear ECO 2+, which I will never take to the

Pros
  • Rated 6+ out of 5. IMPORTANT PRODUCTION MADE IN GERMANY. I explain that I am a taxi driver in the Hero City of Leningrad for about 5 years I managed to ride on different cars and a dozen different tires. The car is a comfort (C) class, last two winters I rode a Velcro bridge in 95 percent of cases (B-C) class first. On this rubber for 3 months in 100 percent, just no chance. machine specially weighted music and almost complete Shumkov. From the traffic lights I roll the first 5-7 meters with the stabilization turned off approximately, and then the gas to the floor on the automatic box and you know that the stabilization does not even think to blink)). Half of the taxi city is already in shock))) + as a tire fitter, I’ll say the following that the manufacturer says there is no difference where the rubber is made, I can’t say from personal experience yet, but according to the reviews of several dozen people I personally changed, I’ll say the following about Michelin summer tires that they go (CIVIL, NOT SPORT) 70- 100 k. killometrov and dalle just think about selling on ebay for afterburning or temporary dokat. Specifically, mine passed in this radius and in the size of 16+ thousand of them, 1.5-2 thousand with axle box gas to the floor from a stop, I’ll burn the clutch faster than the drive front wheels, I’ve erased 30-40 percent by eye no more. The lipuha revo bridge in the first version in my mode ended almost to zero and went to scrap at 20-25 thousand, well, the hook feels like 20 percent less. It is very important to set the correct pressure according to the passport 2.2 in front, back 2.3 if empty, but the hook is very important to me, so I lowered it by - 0.1. Light forging does not spoil the inertial properties specifically with this cutting. in heavy snow I lower it to -0.2. I also noticed an interesting point that struck me a lot and pleased me at the same time that during critical sharp braking from 100 to the floor, when the abs is activated, the braking distance seems to increase, it's unthinkable, but it feels like that. And yes, the ABS works at the very last moment. The grip is almost like in summer, except for pure ice and a sharp drop from + weather to -.
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings, it balances on 13-year-old forging almost perfectly, except for one slightly crooked disk. The price is higher than all competitors, but I am ready to overpay within 15 1-2-3 k for these excellent characteristics, because it is worth it by 250%. In the summer I will experiment with summer bears on the leading front, two ecos will hang out at the back and maybe save something. (eco is very afraid of aquaplaning, especially in a track of 80-90 km per hour. Oh, and one more thing, riding on rails is simply amazing, I feel like a tram))) on it, this trick can be done with 110% confidence, like a train rides on rails. The focus works a couple of tens of kilometers without a single demolition at all, if the rails are even from the word COMPLETELY.

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

I liked the rubber very much, it helped me out many times in this snowy winter. Prior to that, went to Pirelli soto zero. Pirelli, in comparison with these tires, is much, much worse. In 2022, a new model seems to have come out that should replace this one.
