Description of Cardone 66 8154 New CV Axle

Proprietary engineering processes ensure that all CV Drive Axles meet OE form, fit and function. Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and cracking, which is the leading cause of boot failure. An axle retaining nut is supplied with every unit for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. CV Drive Axle measurements are validated after assembly to ensure a proper fit; Threads are precision rolled to ensure proper fit when axle nut is installed. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing.

Smooth Ride with Reliable Drive Train Upgrade

This CV axle performed well during the installation on my automotive vehicle. The smooth ride is worth the investment and made an immediate difference in the handling of my vehicle. However, the price is a bit higher compared to other options on the market. Regardless, its durability and reliability make it worth the cost..

Pros
  • High-quality, brand new CV axle
Cons
  • Prone to premature failure if not installed correctly or if used on vehicles with modified suspensions or oversized tires

Perfect fit, reasonable price, fast shipping!

Many years ago I used this brand constantly at an independent garage where I worked on chassis repair jobs. The brand still does not disappoint! I took some photos of the work on our 2009 Ford Fusion, SE, 2.3L, Automatic Transmission. At just under 142,000 miles the original right hand (passenger side) main gear boot at the inboard joint failed causing grease to splatter all over the frame and engine. This axle fits exactly like the one it replaced and the car drives exactly as before. Highly…
