We replaced our old model with this one - it was great to find one to match our 2001 Holiday Rambler. It tightened a bit so we can't fully close the hand clips. Hello Bungy.

Very easy to install especially as I was replacing the fabric on my awning. Once installed it worked as it should to lock and unlock the awning on the caravan. A replacement is strongly recommended.

Works great. Just replace that old rotten piece of sun. Before installation in the sun designed to soften a little. Was the same length as the original in the 2008 Fiesta awning.

I bought in November 2015 now September 2017 and the release is still working fine. I join the rubbish in the form of a boxed 1 star review. I ran mine under hot water for a while to soften it and slowly straightened it out. I still rate it a 5 despite the packaging.

It was a few inches shorter than my old part. At first I thought it would work, but it doesn't. The problem is that it interferes with the twist lock on the gun. If you push up to move it out of the blocking path, the reel will remain unlocked. This allows the wind to rotate the awning as you move. Not good. As a workaround I had to twist my arms.
