Not so good

When I buy a Carhartt, I expect I'm paying for quality. The price is in relation to the higher price of the jeans I bought for my son. I ordered 4 pairs in August. By December all knees had been torn. The triple seams on the inner seam (in the buttocks area) didn't hold up. I reordered in January. 2 out of 4 couples have torn knees. I have a burly 7 year old who wears Carhartt (whatever he wants), but at $30 a pair I expect more.

Pros
  • Side stripes, multiple pockets
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Favorite jeans for kids!

These jeans definitely live up to Carhartt's reputation - my 3 boys play and work hard on the ranch and have done more good than any other pair of jeans! The only reason I have to buy more is because they've outgrown them or because an older brother's used item broke his knee. My boys are tall and skinny but they have an adjustable waistband which is amazing! My husband wears the men's version and the boys love being dad's mini-me too. LOL Definitely my childhood jeans.

Pros
  • 99% cotton, 1% elastane
Cons
  • Can't remember

Hole in the dam after 4 months. Any pair!

Same problem as previous reviewer. After 4 months of use, holes appeared in the perineum. For the past 6 years I've only been buying Carhartt overalls (4 pairs for 4 boys) and before they get too big for them I could pass them on to at least one younger brother for them to use before they get skinny at the knees from active boys . Now there seems to be a problem with the quality of the step. The holes become too big to go unnoticed, making them useless (and embarrassing to wear!). Disappointing
