I have an XL head (hat size 7 5/8) and it is big enough to cover the base of my ears. It's a miracle. Fleece is a lot less itchy, more breathable and more comfortable than beanie/watch hat/whatever acrylic so I'm glad I found the only brand big enough for my head.
