poor fit and false advertising

when you see the description you say it's waterproof and breathable. It's like saying you can breathe underwater. The outer leather glove soaks up water like a sponge (making it heavy) and then the Thinsulate (aka fleece) inner lining supposedly keeps your hand dry when pressed against that cold, wet mass. These are good work gloves for moderately cold to dry conditions. Unfortunate sizing because the leather outer glove is the correct size but then the liner is glued on making it tight (which…

Don't buy these gloves.

Completely unimpressed with this product. On moderately cold days in Chicago, 20° and 30°, hands were cold after 10 minutes outdoors. All of my Carhartt pants, coats and shirts are fantastic quality and great value for money. I actually bought two different types of Carhartt, both stink.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not the quality I expected

These gloves fit well, keep hands warm and keep snow out when using a snow blower. But after just a few uses, the skin on the palm of the hand tore and exposed the water barrier. Disappointed that these gloves were not of the best quality.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons

Looks cool, doesn't dry out

I bought these because of the price and the good reputation of the brand. I used them for skiing and they only kept my hands warm for about an hour. The water soaked in almost immediately and it was a long day afterwards. The outside temperature was about 20 degrees Fahrenheit. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going in snow and freezing temperatures.

  • So far so good
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Nothing for the cold!

At 20 and 30°, hands stay warm for more than 5 minutes. They are definitely not made for cold weather. Also, the lining tends to stretch with your hands, making it very difficult to put back on. I would recommend that you find a better glove unless you are looking for something that looks good whether it works or not.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
