when you see the description you say it's waterproof and breathable. It's like saying you can breathe underwater. The outer leather glove soaks up water like a sponge (making it heavy) and then the Thinsulate (aka fleece) inner lining supposedly keeps your hand dry when pressed against that cold, wet mass. These are good work gloves for moderately cold to dry conditions. Unfortunate sizing because the leather outer glove is the correct size but then the liner is glued on making it tight (which is bad for keeping fingers warm). My arm is 8.5 inches and the large size fits the body snugly. But when I take XL, then my fingertips hang out. The leather case was not sized to properly accommodate the inner lining and maintain the overall size. Now I'm trying to apply a waterproofing spray to the glove to see if that helps (with moderate success). Disappointing purchase.
