I wear a size 10 jeans with a medium rise (no waist or low rise) and the size I wear is 36 inches. I wear the strap at the third hole and can even tighten it at the fourth out of five positions. Such a great belt. Very thick and well made. Bought a size up after reading the reviews. I wish I hadn't. My experience is that this is true to size. I am a 6 foot tall female. I wear a size 12 in both jeans and pants and ALL my pants sit on my hips. I had to make a loop on the last one, and even then it was sometimes too big. I ended up gifting it to my husband who was in dire need of a belt. It fits him much better (size 36 in jeans). It's an ungirly outfit for him, but he wears it to work…
