Used on my Dell P2715Q and with all straps tightened there is very little room to move. I think in light rain this will protect the monitor. My only complaint is that if something hits the front pocket it can go straight in and ruin the screen. I ended up cutting out double corrugated cardboard to put between the monitor and the fabric. The same problem will exist for iMac.

I'm a photographer and digital professional which means I often have to take my 27" display with me. I expected to spend at least four times as much on a bulky duffel bag for my new display.
