This is the fifth Casablanca fan I have purchased. I thought the company had a good reputation for quality and support. This fan has a dimming function in the lighting set. That does not work. The light just goes on and off. The dimming function did not work when installed. Unfortunately I did not install the fan during the 120 day warranty period so the work is not covered under warranty. All five blades I received in the package had deep white markings, dark ridges and dents on the top and bottom covered and a darker walnut stain transitions to the lighter side in several places. The overall impression is very "rustic" and by no means "modern" as advertised. I'm not sure if this is a standard Zudio blade, or if the markings are caused by poor packaging, or if it's just a manufacturing defect. I bought this because it is larger than average and has a lower profile. I used to have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan installed and the Casablanca LED lights give me about 3-4 inches more headroom. My first had round nicks all over the blade that looked more like chunks of styrofoam than they were "weathered". The latter comes with *significantly* improved weathered blades AND they're double-sided - there are no nicks or marks on one side, so you can choose which side to view. Bought this fan over two years ago. I'm in the process of installing it. IIRC, the fan was sold factory refurbished so I bought it at a discount. This was evident upon opening the packaging: it was clearly a return but in good external condition. All the main parts were there, although some small mounting screws were missing - it's ok. The first issue I had with Casablanca was that they really try to keep things simple for the average consumer, making it cumbersome for experienced installers. .
