Lutron Caseta Wireless Pico Remote Pedestal, Black (L-PED1-BL) Review

If you have a Pico remote control for the Caseta range. This remote control can easily be lost. Buy a pedestal or wall mount. This base is heavy and sticks well to the table and the like. It's worth the price. Without them, I would have lost them on my desk many times (dropped on the sofa, kicked under the sofa, slammed into the bin).

This is the perfect desk mount for my Pico Remote! It's just the right weight and weight to stay in place. It also looks very classy and intentional on our coffee table! We feel like techies turning all of our scenes on and off at the touch of a button. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey for what it is. But it doesn't feel cheap or addictive.

I love these little remotes. They're almost too small. When used as a wall switch, it is easy to install. If used alone I recommend a base for it so it doesn't get lost. You can also adjust the light intensity for the round button. You must first install the Lutron starter kit on your home network, which is very easy. These Pico remotes work in conjunction with the Lutron switch in the room.

Provides coffee table mount for light switch remote control. I really like using it because it's very durable, holds the remote in place and doesn't let it wobble or move while you press the buttons. We have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Even half asleep and in the middle of the night, this remote will stand up to abuse and keep the remote in place while you fumble for the right button.

I really like this item but it is very expensive for what it is. That's the problem with Lutron, Leviton and the like. They have the ability to take something that can be really cheap -- something that might actually make up for buying their expensive stuff -- and turn it into just another expensive, high-margin accessory. Although this is a good product. The remote is easy to turn on (and turn off when needed) and is well weighted.

Seems like a useless idea, a remote stand. Why do you need a stand to easily hold the remote control over the table? A sturdy little stand if you don't plan on mounting your Lutron remote switches. We all have one on our bedside table and at least they keep us from losing our light switches. You probably already know this, but the switches are about the size of four chewing gum sticks (folded properly) and fairly light. Very easy to lose.
