They were the right size but didn't fit the chair - the fabric is too thick where the dowels are. The dowels came on their own, I had to fight them - I'm returning them.

When looking for replacement covers for our director's chairs, I found that there are as many sizes as colors! It took a while but I was able to find the right size and hoped they would fit these old chairs. I was delighted as they glided effortlessly along the channels and backs of our chairs. The material is durable, the measurements are accurate and I am very happy with my purchase.

I was concerned about this fit as there are so many options for director's chairs. I am satisfied with the quality of the material and the fit. Also, I didn't realize they came with two bottom dowels. It was a pleasant surprise. The color of the wheat was exactly the same as the original. My chair measurements are: the bottom rails are 19 inches center to center and the top back of the chair is 18 inches center to center. I would buy this again.

Trust me I read review after review but finally decided to give it a try. Well the reviews were correct, they do NOT match my chairs. They are more suitable for children's chairs or small director's chairs. They won't stretch enough to fit my chairs (no, they're not oversized chairs). I have two from the world market (they don't sell replacement parts anymore) and I haven't been able to find the right cases yet. What a waste if I can't replace them, but I'll keep looking.
