Use with the right through crimp

I didn't have a through crimp when I bought these plugs. After crimping with a standard crimping tool, I couldn't press the wires against the edge hard enough for the plug to seat properly in the keystone. Bought a VCE Ethernet RJ45 crimping tool for pass-through connectors and they worked like clockwork. It's a lot easier to just keep the wires straight and fully load the jacket, but I have years of experience so I only use it for Cat6.

Fine, but there aren't long grooves for easier cable alignment, which makes multi-wire cables significantly more difficult.

I bought CAT6 connectors and was disappointed that they don't have long "grooves" that lead to the through wires in the correct order, unlike other Cat5 crimp connectors I have, if you put them through. With solid copper wire it's probably not that much of a problem, but with stranded wire it's really hard to line up and crimp.

Unwanted Ethernet cable

Do not buy! I spent several days running wires around my house while building a complex sound system using six cat wires for the controllers. Now that the house is complete I finish the wiring and after connecting a few dozen wires and then testing the other end where the sound system starts I found that 90% of the connections were bad. I had them checked by an electrician and said they were done correctly so it must be the plugs. I cut the tips and redid them with Klein Cat Six tips which you…

Million dollar idea comes to life

I'm a handyman. I used them to connect 5 rooms in my house. So easy to use. Love it. All RJ45 went right first. No unnecessary RJ45s. No more cutting through cables and reworking RJ45 connectors. This saves you an enormous amount of time and money. Corks are very forgiving. If you find a problem before you start cutting and crimping, you can easily fix it. This feature has reduced the miswired Cat6 line as well as the need to go back, cut and recreate the lines. Can't say enough good things…

Always the perfect connection!

These open face RJ45 feedthroughs are fantastic. in the correct order, which also ensures that the crimp connector grips the wire correctly. I've always had trouble making solid connections with regular connectors, but these open ended connectors make terminating RJ45 cables ridiculously easy - you'll always get the perfect connection. I don't give many 5 star ratings but they work so well and make such a difference when connecting ethernet cables that it's well deserved. Highly recommended!

Great price good product

I had a CAT6 cable from my house wiring so I decided to buy these RJ45 connectors to make some extra ethernet cables. I've only had two breakouts of the 42 cables I've made, so 42/44 isn't a bad success rate. There was a bit of a learning curve with the straight-through style, mostly because you actually have to fiddle with the wires to make sure they're perfectly straight before you even try to plug the connector in.
