This product taught me that there are drywall anchors and I need them (photo). Also cool, because the wall hammock saves space by offering your four-legged friend their own play corner. Thankfully, drywall anchors are less than $4 at Lowes. Dora mi buscadora likes this. Just installed today. If you have drywall, you'll need at least a hammer. I have a nail finder and a drill.

Our cat seems to enjoy everything but gets a little nervous when using it. BUT we keep encouraging him to use it and we think he will love it in the end. At least we still hope so. Installation was quite difficult because our studs didn't match the length of the boards, but we used wall brackets to mount them. No matter how hard we tried to pull the canvas during installation, it still dangled, so maybe he doesn't like it. Overall, though, the installation was pretty easy.

This cat shelf is amazing. Our brave cat took it into account immediately. It's a simple design and the look blends with our off-white walls just like an 8ft floating cat hammock. It was relatively easy to install, although I wish it came with drywall anchors in case the bolts weren't available (they weren't). But I had a few on hand, so it worked. The two stood up easily. When I received this product I saw how easy it would be to do it yourself. Just a couple of wooden blocks with metal braces screwed on and a tarp fastened between the three wooden blocks. I didn't like that the product gave off a strong chemical odor upon arrival, like it had just been varnished or painted. You should probably air out and dry for a few months before bringing your pet anywhere near these gases, because who knows what's in there? Other than that, our 5 month old kitty LOVES…

I love this product, it is of very high quality, perfectly finished. My cats loved it! The only issue I had was with the screws that came with it. I live in New York, in an old pre-war building. These buildings are made of concrete walls. The included screws are definitely not strong enough for concrete walls. The handyman I hired used special giant 2 inch screws with little hooks on the end so when they go into the wall they open up and attach into the wall. I thought the way the cat wall…

I have three kittens. Two of them started using it within hours of installation. The material is durable and beautifully finished. I'm sorry that the bottom screw is so difficult to install because it's near the wood blocks, so I'd change that. I managed to get all but one of the screws in, but it was difficult. We often invest in amenities for our cats, and it seems like we invest in things that mean little to them. But it was such a big investment! It's such a fun idea and cats always want to be on the shelves and so it's a good alternative for them. At first the cats were a little shy, but they have now become their favorite resting place.
