Based on my experience, this player was not worth the investment. The sound quality was poor and the construction felt cheap. The only positive aspect was the compact size, but that was outweighed by the overall disappointing performance.

I try not to write negative reviews. This product is not close to original manufacturer parts. They fit but the strap is so flimsy I don't see how they can last 20 years like the originals did.

Although all Sony CPD 5 disc players look the same on the outside, the CX and CE use different belt sizes for the player. The belts included in this kit are larger in diameter than the platter belt required for CE.
