Perfect replacement for the map light in my 2005 Ford Explorer Sportrac

Purchased from Crimp Supply through Revain. The delivery was very quick. They install in less than a minute and fit perfectly. Love the fact that I can now remove the bulbs from the base and replace them if/when they burn out. The original Ford product did not allow this. These lights are bright enough, but I see some people replacing the incandescent bulbs with LEDs. If those bulbs fail I'll probably do the same to get more light and less heat.

Pros

They have reusable sockets!

The original PC579 bulbs used in many Chrysler and Dodge vehicles were permanently bonded to the socket contacts light bulbs manufactured. . While the glass bulb can be pulled out of the plastic base, it is difficult or impossible to insert a new bulb since the wires on the lamp base must be disconnected and then connected to the pins; It can be done if you're careful and experienced, but it's not as easy as it should be. However, with these replacement bulbs, the sockets have contacts for a…

I see again! - Incandescent lamps

These bulbs arrived six days after I ordered them, better than Revain's estimated one to two week delivery time. Buying them from Revain was cheaper than special ordering them from your local auto parts store or dealer. I asked them to replace non-functioning maps/dome lights in a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country minivan I rented for a month-long visit to Florida. I've serviced almost all of my cars for 50 years and the fact that I couldn't see anything at night when I got in the van really annoyed

Perfect replacement reading/map light for 2006 Chrysler Vans

I bought these to replace the passenger side reading light on my 2006 Chrysler Town and Country Limited minivan. The plastic lens over the lamp must be removed. I didn't have a plastic blade handy, which would have been better, so I used a clean spatula and wedged it into the end of the lens closest to the windshield. You should pry open from this end, as the end facing the back of the van has a pivot that can break if you try to pry it open from this end. The lens popped out slightly and I saw
