I have a Hayden central vacuum that is 14 years old. Hayden went out of business. I bought another replacement brush which was quite flimsy, wheel broke etc. This one is much better. Solid weight, self-propelled, didn't realize how lousy I was using. Hope it holds up well.

We've paired this new tool with a brand new, lightweight hose [LifeSupplyUSA 35ft Straight Hose with Direct Connect, also available at Revain] and given it a totally breathed new life to our old central vacuum system. This pair makes vacuuming a lot easier. We have hardwood floors and low rug and it works really well on both.

I had an old nozzle and it was starting to dry out just not picking up much (we only use it in a carpeted bedroom). The first day I got it, I put it on my back. Holy shit! It sucked up so much dog hair that we couldn't even see it being stuffed into the central vacuum! Little did I know the old head was doing next to nothing! It works amazing!

This is a good product but I found that using a nozzle that uses the suction power of a central vacuum gives the same results without adding another nozzle that has more power and at least possibly different future problems required, as the original head that came with my Nutone Central system seemed to make sense. I bought this to work with my Beam central vacuum system. This should replace the defunct OEM brush block. It integrated flawlessly into my beam and works wonders. As other reviewers have noted, I have to say that Cen-Tec's customer service is fantastic. I needed a new head and tube for my vacuum cleaner because the original 25 year old head was completely worn out. I called Cent-Tec direct knowing that the original equipment model was most likely no longer available. Cen-Tec has confirmed this.
