i bought it as an alternative to curology or cerave wash. It's quite nice and comparable, but like other reviewers, it feels more like a light lotion when applied. It will definitely not remove makeup, cleanse, lather or anything like that. However, it is still very gentle and I am happy with the formula. I still feel clean and hydrated afterwards. Because it's so gentle, I still keep it on when I need to wash my face during the day or in the morning when there's not much to do.

Will not remove waterproof sunscreen or makeup completely. This would be good for a morning cleanse if you just want to cleanse your skin, but not for removing makeup or sunscreen yourself at the end of the day.
