This product is advertised as a Whirlpool product or is compatible with Whirlpool - it is not. The actual filter is longer than intended, the right filter is the last hot tub filter I own, the left filter is longer. Long enough to prevent the cartridge holder from sealing and the gasket sitting on the head. This leads to massive leaks.

This is the best filter I have found in terms of the number and size of particles it filters out. I have used all of Whilepool's official filters and some advertised as 5 microns or less and none have worked or filtered as well as this one. I'll keep using them until I find a filter that actually lets through less than a micron. This is the best filter I have ever used and I highly recommend it.

This filter started falling apart after about 6 months. I change my home filters every 6 months. The interior fell apart. NEVER AGAIN. Rubber seals at the top and bottom also do not stick. They are smaller than the recess they are designed to fit. I had to use petroleum jelly to hold them in place during installation. Again, never again. I only gave 2 stars because they worked. Not a complete failure, but enough not to buy me again.

This product was supposed to be compatible with my hot tub but it didn't fit because it was too high! I only discovered this by putting the new brand next to the old Whirlpool brand. The new one is taller and slimmer than a hot tub. Luckily he's in the garage because there was water everywhere. I had to reassemble the filtration system without a filter and urgently needed to buy a new one. As you can see, one of them is about 1/4 inch shorter than this one.

We suddenly have low blood pressure throughout the house. The pressure was always normal. I decided to take the filter out and found that the inner casing of the filter had been ripped out and was in the cold water line leading into the house. With needle nose pliers I was able to grab the edge and pull it out of the waterline. I put it back in the photo filter. If it went all the way down the pipe I'd have hundreds of dollars in plumbing bills. Again, buyers beware. It's not worth saving a few

I bought this for my spa enclosure. It works, but it takes me three or four tries to install it properly so it doesn't leak. I'm a contractor, replacing this filter is a lot harder than it should be and harder than a name brand product. However, once it's in place, it does a good job of filtering out the bad odors we might be getting. Ours is good and lasts as long as any other brand we've used. It just needs to be 1/16 inch shorter.
