I had to use a nail file and file the edges to get it in. I was sure it would break from the force I had to push on it. Finally happened. Seems to work.

Exactly what I needed, good fit. It was a little difficult to install. I had to soak it in very hot water to get it flexing enough to fit. Works great

A word of advice: the accompanying literature warns that installation may or may not be complicated. First read the instructions carefully several times and we also found and installed a YouTube video. Since then it's been working great. I would recommend it in this case too.

I bought this to replace a broken latch for my DC35. Unfortunately, this does not fit perfectly out of pocket. It's too wide. Through trial and error I had to use sandpaper to gently file down the two latch levers until I could install this latch. After I set it up everything worked fine.

This worked on my old Dyson vacuum. It was a bear to install, but once you know to screw it in rather than press it down you should be fine. If you look at the holes this item goes in, you'll also see guides. Insert one side making sure both sides are in the gusset and rotate the piece into place. Takes about 3 minutes. The release doesn't have as much "springtime" as I expected, but my vacuum got it working again, which makes a difference. I think the money I saved by replacing the vacuum…
