Works GREAT as a pass-through Ethernet, 1Gbps download!

I needed a way to route ethernet over a DB9 "pass through" in a shielded test case. This works great and maintains the integrity of the shielded test case (of course the built in loop-through does this, but I wanted to confirm that it actually works and works). I also tested the connection speed using a Windows 10 laptop with a gigabit ethernet interface and when connected using these two dongles it showed a 1Gbps connection, nice!

Didn't come out like in the photo.

I bought this to run the RS-232 in Category 5 over some distance where it would work fine. However the picture shows this with a DB9 male and female connector and the item I received are both male.

If you are looking for ethernet to serial 9 pin converters, the price is right and they work.

I bought these to use with my Navy Ship Cable Tracing Tone Tester which if you don't know can sometimes be impossible. I use it quite often and haven't had any problems. I am a retired Senior Chief Electronics Technician at 26 years in the Navy and now work for the GS-12 in the US Department of Defense. I recommend it. They are inexpensive and work great.

well done computer accessories and peripherals

well done and for the one i needed there was quite a long rs-232 cable to test the controller they worked. Now that my tests are complete, they are in my "What do I do with this now?" box. probably forever. :-)

If you are looking for ethernet to serial 9 pin converters, the price is right and they work.
