Slightly too big but all cotton so can shrink. The fabric is stiff right out of the box. The color is a very light silver grey. The neck is a little high. I love that everything is cotton but wish it was a better quality fabric for the price. It may get softer after washing, but I sent it back. The medic's body length was below the waist and measured 5 inches by 8 inches.

Despite what it says on the label, this sweatshirt is NOTHING like most cotton items. I regularly paint on clothes with bleach. For those who don't know, bleach is very effective on cotton, but not very effective on synthetic fibers (like polyester)...it tends not to lighten the color unless it's natural. Nice heavy sweatshirt. I like the collar. Not loose, but tight around the neck. Many other brands have a casual cut at the neckline.

I ordered them here before because they are the best heavy cotton sweatshirts. They are very soft, comfortable, warm and keep their shape even after several washes. Sweatshirts are worn for commercial crabbing, hiking, and just to wear around town. They will not fade or lose their shape. I hope they get more, basically all cotton sweatshirts are very hard to find in heavy weight fabrics.

He wanted something heavy, thick and with a small logo, preferably embroidered; nothing ironed or very big that we saw in shops. He says it's not as thick as the one we bought a few years ago, but he's very happy to have another replacement for his old sweatshirts. I'll probably buy him a color or two in the future.

I used to order 2 pieces, this is the size I ordered for shirts, jackets, etc. 2x fits more like 3x or 4x. I washed one of these to make sure it fit - no it was too big so the other 2 were sent back. Then I ordered this XL and it fits perfectly. I have a similar (probably 20 year old) Champion XL that fits pretty much the same. Therefore, for this shirt, do not order the size you have ordered in the last 10 years, but 1 size smaller. By the way, very durable and comfortable.

What a great sweatshirt. That's the look you used 20 years ago when all sweatpants were 100% cotton. The only non-cotton details are the cuffs and collar. Almost everything is now made of cotton and polyester, either 50-50 or 60-40. With this product, you won't have an uncomfortable peeling problem.
