Designed to work: Satellite TV

For example I use this as a combiner, I have two antennas pointing to the same transmit location as the antenna array and I combine the signals to get a stronger signal. I've found it works better than a splitter (from a hardware store) connected as a combiner. I haven't opened it up to see why, but it works noticeably better.

Pros
  • 75 ohm jack input/output connectors
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Got what I wanted.: Audio and video accessories

I am a cable cutter. It was difficult at best to get the channels available to me without having to move an indoor antenna. Connect two antennas of the same type and position them independently. Now all channels are free except for bad weather. Repositioning of the antenna is not required. Consider trying 3 antennas.

Pros
  • DC pass all ports
Cons
  • Does not all fit

Great for combining UHF signals

I used this to add a DIY DB4 "YouTube" antenna pointing in a different direction than my direct main DB4E antenna. Below I've added a Winegard FM antenna via a VHF/UHF Radio Shack combiner and the whole thing feeds into a Radio Shack signal booster with a cable running from the attic to the basement. So I have all TV channels plus all HD radios.

Pros
  • 1GHz
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Works as intended

I've found it works better than a splitter (from a hardware store) connected as a combiner. I haven't opened it up to see why, but it works noticeably better.

Pros
  • DC through all ports
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Did what I wanted.

I am a cable cutter. Accessing channels without changing the position of an indoor antenna was difficult at best. This allowed me to connect two antennas of the same type and position each independently. Now all channels are free except for bad weather. A deflection of the antenna is not necessary. I think to try 3 antennas.

Pros
  • IR Passive
Cons
  • Unfashionable
