It's better than I expected!

This is the first time I ever order a dress from Revain. I'm always very scared of clothes I can't see or try on. However, it's very difficult to find dresses that I like in stores near me which is why I decided to give this dress a try. I love it! The size fits perfectly (XL; I usually wear size L). The fabric is stretchy and very pretty. Like most reviews I read before purchasing said, the belt is a dud. I'm not a fan of the fabric it's made of, and I'm not even sure what it's called, but it…

Pros
  • Good qualityHowever the waist is extremely high up and uncomfortable.
Cons
  • Neckline too tight

Cheap material, sloppy stitching

I'm keeping it, because it fit nicely ever at 2xl and I don't think I'll wear it often and I just can't be bothered to return it, but it's really obvious it's not going to last very long. The stitching is sloppy and already frayed upon opening the package, and the material is very thin and not very flexible which means it's going to tear easily.I'd recommend it more for costume use than actual wearing regularly, but I don't think I'd want to pay the price I did even knowing that. Shame, there…

Pros
  • Novelty
Cons
  • Overpriced

Not great for big chested women

I bought this for a Halloween costume and it was cute, but I'm short (5'1") with very large breasts (38DDD) and for me the waist came all the way up under my breasts so it was too short in the top for me, so I sent it back. Dress material was thin and stretchy. The belt was just a thin piece of fabric with no structure. It would've been perfect otherwise. Also, I bought the 4XL fully anticipating needing it for the boob room and it was a little too big elsewhere. I normally wear XL or 2XL tops.

Pros
  • This fit well, but the sash didn’t have loops to secure it, so I had to sew some on myself
Cons
  • It was perfect for a music show I went to.

Perfect Dress good for me

Dress was perfect. The orange was a great shade and worked well with the black. The style was beautiful too. Hubs bought it for me for my bday and I just loved it. I found the size chart to be misleading. I went with a size large and I am a 32 inch waist. I still had a little wiggle room in the large, but not to where it swallowed me. The bust fit me well. I'm a 34 so not too top heavy. If you're top heavy I'd size up one. Hips are open so don't fret about that. I'm 5'7" for reference if that…

Pros
  • Makes a great addition to your vintage fashion collection
Cons
  • Not suitable for winter weather

Cute 50’s style retro dress!

I was pleased, the color is more grass green than turquoise it looks on my screen. Top is cotton and not shiny. The bottom is polyester stretch like a dance leotard fabric, but won’t wrinkle and gives. It’s a bit snug on top, and shows a bit of cleavage I wasn’t expecting.the bottom of the bodice could be a bit lower, to be totally under the bust, will try with different bras. I wear US size 14 petite or L-petite, and got the x-Large. I’m short, about 5’1” and it comes below my knees a few…

Pros
  • Inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn
Cons
  • Runs large

You will never be happier with a dress.

WOW! New favorite dress! I’m less than happy with some areas of my body and feel like I need to lose weight, but this dress makes me feel like a sexy vixen! Such a flattering cut! I’m 5’6” 165 lbs, 39” bust (36C) 32” waist. I got size L knowing it’s be a bit tight but I am in the process of losing weight (down 35 lbs in 3 months) so I took a gamble. It fits like a glove! Zips up no problem, accentuated my bosom, hides my tummy pouch, and looks great with or without a petticoat, but definitely…

Pros
  • Women
Cons
  • Material wrinkles too easily

Ok for the price on my review.

When buying this dress few things: it runs large, it is very long, and if you have a waist then it hides it. It’s quality isn’t all that great and the belt doesn’t have a place to fit into, you just put it over the dress and hope it stays secure. While it was a good price, it was definitely "you paid for what you get” and therefore makes sense that the quality is so low.

Pros
  • Fits well! Needs ironed out of the bag as you can see in my photo but very comfortable and flattering.
Cons
  • Not figure-flattering

My favorite dress! - my new review

This dress has got to be one of my favorite dresses I've ever bought! Definitely worth the money! Fit beautifully - bottom is a nice cotton that's not too thick but it's not thin either. You can definitely wear this through the fall and early winter. The top was nice and stretched wonderfully to fit me perfectly (36DD) Even the belt was nice even though it wasn't as thick as I would like it and ended up ordering another one. But I love this dress and I wouldn't trade it for anything! You can…

Pros
  • Ideal for an elegant cocktail party or dinner function
Cons
  • Not suitable for evening wear

Cute but. for my opinion

Going for a vintage look it was super cute. Only problem is if you are busty the white polkadot panel doesn't cover the bust or situate fully on the bust as it should have. It looked almost like the panel was sitting a little more than midway down the bust instead of covering it with a lil additional length until it transitioned to the skirt portion. There is no stretch in this material at all wich might of helped.

Pros
  • Fits too snug in the chest and I’m an A cup
Cons
  • I went by the measurements in the size chart and this dress is massive. Will be returning.

This dress was a great buy!

This dress was a great buy! The bottom button on chest was off location, but this dress was a hit. I bought it for a Halloween (Fallout style pop character). I wanted to buy a real dress rather than costume dress hoping it would be better quality and I could wear it in a non-Halloween environment if I wanted. This dress didn’t disappoint.I don’t often wear dresses as I’m thicker in the midsection, so they aren’t typically flattering. After reading TONS of reviews, I decided this dress might…

Pros
  • A statement piece that speaks for itself
Cons
  • Too conservative

A 1959 birthday party attire

I will be wearing it at my brother's 60th birthday party. He was born December 13, 1959 and that's the theme for his party. What did you wear back in 1959. This is the perfect dress for the party, black, red, white and some poked dots. I love how it fit.

Pros
  • Beautifully tailored with attention to detail
Cons
  • Too plain

True to size and fabric is nice

The fabric is nice, this dress is true to size.It fit perfect on me, I’m not big on my bust area I’m a C cup.The only bad thing is the belt, we had to use a safety pin so that the belt can stay on the strap.

Pros
  • I can't wait to go out with it. My husband will love it 😀
Cons
  • Length too long

Love this dress!: my feedback

Beautiful dress. Well made, a bit hard to iron. Made of cotton, so it wrinkles easy. Buttons where a bit off, but that was easy to fix. Size was pretty true to their measurements. I plan on buying more dresses from them.

Pros
  • Super cute, ready for spring
Cons
  • One button was sewn on o

Cute dress good for me

Super cute. Extra small would have been better but it’s works! Perfect for Halloween and as a "work appropriate” costume.

Pros
  • A style that will never go out of style or lose its charm
Cons
  • Poor customer service

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It’s cute, just not for me

Fits as expected, definitely add a petit skirt underneath for best look. I returned my dress as it made me look like a life size blueberry- but that is attributed to my weight, not flattering on my body type.

Pros
  • Will be dressing in 50s vintage clothing for a wedding
Cons
  • Too much fabric

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I think the kids refer to this as "Fire ". They're not wrong.

This dress is a dream! It's good quality material with just enough stretch to hug my curves in all the right places. The waistline is very flattering for my shape too. Plus size clothing can be tricky! The sizing chart is spot on, btw. If this style dress grabs your attention, just BUY IT! No need to thank me. 😁

Pros
  • Versatile style that can be dressed up or down
Cons
  • Not suitable for summer weather

Decent Dress in this price point

I always wear a medium, in nearly every fashion, thank goodness I ordered UP. The Large fits well, hits just below the knee. Very cute dress for our "old fashioned cocktail party" we are attending, but quality is more cheap Halloween costume vibe. Love the look, but doubt the paper thin material would make it through many laundry cycles.

Pros
  • Cute dress.Did not like the belt other than that exactly what I expected.
Cons
  • Length too short

Great 50s Dress - my new review

Love that this is cotton. Does not stretch as isn't supposed to. Cotton so not sheer which is what I wanted.Paired with red cat eye rhinestone glasses and was a big hit at 50's diner party. I'll where this dress even after the party.

Pros
  • A versatile dress that can be worn to any occasion
Cons
  • Not suitable for individuals with broad shoulders

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cheap material and not for short women

The material is very thin and feels cheap, like a costume. Also, at 5'2" it doesn't fit length wise- buttons come up to chest and it is very long. But even with all that, it's still flattering when on.

Pros
  • Looks great with a pair of heels or flats
Cons
  • Not suitable for outdoor events

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Should of got a size smaller

I'm in between an L and XL so it was a gamble. Usually things that take a whole month to ship are on the smaller side, for this product it does not apply. It's a light martial and the only part I dont love is the flimsy mess of the belt but all and all it's a great dress.

Pros
  • Unique and eye-catching design
Cons
  • Not suitable for indoor events
