Purchased for the Petmate (Booda) Clean Step toilet. The filter that came with the kit was flimsy and unsuitable. My cat kept taking the filter out of the box and then dragging it around my bedroom leaving litter everywhere. Not to mention escaping the smell! They are much thicker and fit snugly around the filter - no more mess in the filter and they have noticeably better odor control.

When I first opened the box I thought the filter would be too thick. After I cut the sides so I could fit it in the litter box lid, it fit perfectly. A week went by and she did a good job keeping the stench out of the litter box. I also like that there are 6 packs. The ones I had previously ordered from another site only had one per pack and the price was too high for one. With this I paid a pretty decent price for the amount that comes with it.

The fact that these filters are advertised for cat litter suggests they were made for cat litter. Not true. If I wanted to sit down and cut, I'd buy a large charcoal filter sheet for 99 cents. I believe that is what this buyer is doing. These household filters are not professionally packaged. They arrive in a Ziploc package. They are fuzzy, ragged and falling apart.
