Dell Precision 7520 does not recognize the AC adapter, does not charge the battery when the laptop is on, and barely charges the battery when it is off.

Needed for a business trip when I realized I had left my laptop charger at home. It matched the exact voltage and current requirements for my Dell laptop. It failed to charge my laptop and left it on for a short time. My laptop also started acting very strange and slow after I plugged it in. I don't know what's going on there. I couldn't use my computer at all during the trip. My computer was working fine when I got home and used my original charger.

This was the replacement I was looking for for my Dell M4800 laptop power adapter. The declared properties corresponded to the goods received. What would be better.

Dell Precision 7520 does not recognize the AC adapter, does not charge the battery when the laptop is on, and barely charges the battery when the laptop is off.

I bought this for a Dell Precision 7510. It charges it when the computer is not in use, no problem. Even with light usage it will still charge, but it has been found that during heavy usage of computing resources it will support battery life at best and extend battery life at worst, but won't charge during that time. Not nearly as good as the one that comes with your laptop. A decent backup at best.
