buy elsewhere at car charger

garbage, it sits in the truck, it does not bounce, does not fall and after two months still does not work. Update: I took it apart and found the problem. the side connector is shorted to the green board and the fuse is blown. I was able to add a buffer to the green board to isolate the terminal from making contact and I'm back in business.

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • disappears

Coiled cord is too short and stiff to use

I bought hoping to power a standalone GPS while also charging my phone. The coiled cord turned out to be uncomfortably short, giving me a tiny radius of places to rest my phone while it's charging. You'll probably want to find something with a longer cable, or just ditch the cable and get one of the basic two-jack USB connectors so you can use whatever cables you like.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Removal not so good

Removal of the end that connects to the phone etc did not survive so the device is now half dead, there is only 1 connector that needs a separate cable. In defense of this device, I stored the coiled charging cables in my car. I like that they're out of the way, but you don't really have access to the full length of the cable and the tension on the coils puts so much stress on the connector on this one.

  • Excellent design

A piece of junk! Stops working in less than 3 months

Charger looks good and charges well but that's about it. I'm generally disappointed because: 1- it doesn't charge fast. 2- It is difficult to connect it properly so that it charges. 3- It has a red ring that looks like it should light up but doesn't work. When it's very dark I see a faint red light, but that's about it. If this indicator worked, it would probably reduce problem #2 above. **Update, it stopped working in less than 3 months. What a garbage and waste of money!**

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features

This one by far. Even if you are careful. Fails the test of significant usage.! The coil size and length are too short. And also the cable itself.! So. Comparison of other similar designs. This. Important updates. Necessary. Be more durable.!Including. USB port/socket. you have to go deeper And with rubber seal. USB is too open! Faster charging. Is this the only recommended feature. Next to the most eye-catching backlit charger! ** Regards: We recommend a longer and LARGER line and spool.! ***…

Good quality charger but according to

Overall I am very happy with this charger. The fit of the micro USB connector is very positive and it looks/feels better than most in the $10 price range. It's not exactly in the "fast charge" range for my particular phone (an older Galaxy S7), but it usually gives me back a 100% charge on the go (about 1 hour), including continuous use of navigation, Bluetooth, and music streaming. So I'm completely satisfied with the charging performance, and the lack of "fast charging" is probably a…

Good workmanship, fast charging, love the coiled cord - would buy again.

Excellent charger. The coiled cord is about 13 inches long, which is exactly what I wanted - I have a wireless car charger that attaches to my air vent and plugs into the charger with the cord coiled and out of the way. , It stretches about 2 feet or a little more, which is necessary. In terms of performance, if I connect it to my phone (Galaxy S7) with about 10% charge, it will charge up to 1700-1900 mAh, which is just as fast as a Samsung quick charger with socket and cable (I use a battery…

Short, flimsy cord with no flashlight on the end

I purchased this item to replace my old, worn out Verizon car charger that included a flashlight on the end of the cord where it connects to your phone connected to /device and a second USB port for my daughter to charge her iPhone. I liked my old one so much I was willing to pay Verizon $25-$30 to buy another similar one, but they don't seem to be selling them anymore (I guess since most devices use USB-C chargers now ). I found a Verizon charger with a flashlight on Revain for less than $9…

Pros
