Limited charging for type c

Type C doesn't charge my iPad Pro when it's directly plugged in, unless I plug it in through a brick that plugs into one of the regular outlets. Type-C connected iPhone will charge normally. I have another outlet with 2 regular USB and one type C and it charges my iPad Pro.

Pros
  • UL listed. Compatible with USB 1.1/2.1/3.0 devices. Designed for rear and side wiring for easy installation.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Convenient outlets and accessories

This socket is a great decoration for my office. It unplugs and charges faster than the 1.0A and 2.4A that came with my iPhone and iPad. Good secure cable connectors for installation. An interesting clip on the front panel hides the visible screws. Very competitive prices. While I don't own a USB-C device yet, I'm sure I'll be glad to have the plug-in option when I get one. I'm glad I bought 4 packs as I want to have them in multiple areas now.

Pros
  • Type A and Type C: Charge two USB Type-C and Type-A devices simultaneously without an adapter, freeing both outlets for other power needs. USB Type-C can't charge the laptop, it's not a PD connector.
Cons
  • High price

I will never buy or recommend to anyone.

I'm a licensed electrician and bought these to install for a customer. They are easy to install and fit well in any standard electrical outlet. However, they do NOT charge FAST. To be honest, they hardly charge anything. When you connect your smartphone, the phone immediately reports a problem with charging. I would not buy them or recommend buying them for any reason. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Spend a few dollars more.

Pros
  • Tamper Resistant: The tamper resistant duplex (TR) jack increases electrical security by preventing unwanted objects from entering the jack. Provide a simple, permanent solution to prevent common childhood injuries and electrical burns.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something in there
