This is a nice belt case for your pocket watch. My Elgin is a little tight, but not too tight. You can put a dab of superglue on the back latch to keep it from coming loose when you open the case. The case is beautifully finished and the inner latch is closed to avoid scratching your watch. Overall a good product for the price.

Good fit and finish. But the snap button used on the strap is not secure enough. I put a size 18 watch in, pulled it out and it didn't break. The watch in his pocket didn't move. I thought I would solve this problem by applying some epoxy to the latch. This means it no longer snaps and is just a sliding tape.

The force with which the watch is pulled out of the case is enough to open it. It prepares you for losses. However, if I sew it up or tape it in some way, it might be worth keeping. Beautifully crafted from soft tanned leather. Inside the case is soft rawhide leather that will not scratch or ruin the surface of your pocket watch. A new small pocket watch would be in order. My antique size 16 is a bit tight. Antique size 18 or larger will not fit. Modern pocket watches larger than two inches in diameter will not work either. Using a snap clasp is a nice touch as the magnetic clasp, while neat looking, can ruin both mechanical and battery powered watches.
