I am a pocket watch enthusiast and thought this watch was cool and well made. It has the look and feel of a heavy watch like a good watch. The gold plating is superb enough to give the impression of a gold watch that costs 10x what I paid for it. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to take with me; the first one is in my watch case.

I've wanted a pocket watch for a long time, just for fun. My father wore it all his life. I didn't want to spend a lot of money to have a good watch so I went for this one. Cosmetically the watch is beautiful, excellent detailing, inside the lid is decorated with precious stones. The chain is strong enough for a pocket watch chain. This is a very attractive watch with a very nice dial and case. But despite the fact that I tried to carefully heed the warning not to close the case without lightly pressing the button, the locking mechanism only lasted a few days. Since I couldn't close the case, I decided to remove the front and expose the face. This is not a good solution with just a plastic lens. Let's see how long this works. In short, the lock case and mechanism are made of tin and are cheaply made, but beautiful.

Bought this as a gift for my son when he graduated from college. He's always wanted a pocket watch and as he likes a more traditional style I thought this would be perfect. He is handsome and has a good weight. Seems to be a quality watch. The case is very nice, the hinge is sturdy, and the dial and numbers make it a stylish addition to any outfit. It's so nice to see a young man checking his watch instead of his phone for a change!
