I originally ordered these because my french press coffee needed to be strained. Imagine my surprise when I discovered these were the same filters my parents used. Luckily I still had the ones they had and was so happy to see they were the same! My parents have been gone for 24 years so it was unexpected. Thank you to this seller for this well made product and for such fast shipping.

After receiving these filters I put them in the dishwasher (top shelf) to give them a thorough rinse before use. After the first wash. I noticed that there were a lot of tiny bubbles on the surface due to the poor coverage of the screens. I don't know what they covered the surface with, but most of them were mottled and they all got very blocky. These filters are definitely not food safe and are not made of food grade stainless steel!
