Chemical Guys SPI_402_16 Restorer Protectant Review

Wow! I just used this for all the chrome on my 17 year old Vulcan Nomad 1500. All the chrome was pitted and dull, but no more! Now she's as beautiful as new! The photo shows a small test patch I did on the back of the exhaust where it looked the worst. I literally wiped it down with a rag, buffed it with my mom's cone for 10 seconds, and wiped it down with a microfiber cloth!

I spent about an hour getting results with this stuff on a wheel on my car. I have used a polishing pad on my drill press and have worked with the product for far longer than you need to. In the end, I couldn't tell the difference between a polished wheel and three other wheels that I didn't touch. I've tried several Chemical Guys products and none of them impressed me except Honey Dew Mellon. Styrofoam soap - and that's okay.

They have several different types, so I may have to find another version that gives a nicer finish. The stuff works great but the finish leaves a lot to be desired. I checked everything with moms and it looked great when everything was ready. This material removed heavy oxidation much faster than the mothers. Unfortunately a lot of extra work. There's nothing wrong. I just assumed there would be a really good result, but it doesn't.

It's magic in a bottle. I used this on my 1975 Plymouth Duster's chrome bumpers that needed polishing. They were eaten away by years of neglect and didn't shine like they used to. While this doesn't get rid of the large indentations, it does help bring the overall shine back to the point that from a few feet away, it was no longer apparent that they were indentations. Very impressed with this product because I have tried many of these products as have you all and this product has really worked. So I bought a more expensive product from this company and it worked too. I was surprised. They pay more, but forego suicide. Removed scratches I didn't think would exist. They did. I used this polish to restore a set of aluminum communion plates at my church. Some of them were quite tarnished, obscured by water stains and fingerprints. I've used it with the recommended microfiber sponges and changed them often when they turned black and easily removed tarnish and dirt. Then I polished with new microfiber cloths.
