Bought for tea. I drink tea at work and like to keep it hot. The problem with tea is that it stains cups and stainless steel is almost impossible to clean. I also bought a lid from another site (silipin). I went through many tea devices to achieve two things. 1) drink from uncolored glass with little cleaning effort 2) drink hot tea. I think I was under the impression it was with a glass but apparently it was the glass itself and the glass or stadium glass would have been inside. I had a similar insulator for a standard glass when I was a student in the late 1980s.
