Description of 2PCS Agate Polishing Burnisher Set for Jewellery Making - Ideal Tool for Gold, Silver, Clay Crafts and Jewellers

These natural stones can be used like a steel burnisher for closing bezels and smoothing imperfections in metal. The advantage of Agate over steel is that it will not damage your stones. Additional uses include applying gold and silver leaf/foils, burnishing Art Metal Clay before firing, and by bookbinders for a variety of tasks. Natural agate stone burnishers are the perfect tool for metal clay work, applying gold and silver foil or Keum-boo applications. These tools are designed for burnishing gold leaf and other surfaces to a high luster. Essential tools for calligraphers, jewelers and bookbinders both professional and hobbyist. 9" overall length.

You will be cut by sharp metal splinters!

They are terrible! The metal that attaches the agate to the handle does not fit on either side. It is unevenly cut and partially crumpled, leaving VERY sharp edges. if you try to use them!

Pros
  • overall length 9 inches.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Cheap pen, but worth the money.

Pens are cheap and splinter. If you're looking for something sophisticated and durable, this isn't it. But. Agate is beautifully polished, I've been using it for about a month and I'm satisfied. The grips were my only criticism. But they were really affordable so what can I say.

Pros
  • Essential tools for calligraphers, jewelers and bookbinders, both professionals and amateurs.
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Rough Dangerous Quality

This pair of polishers is not photo quality. Metal fittings gape around the wooden handle. The handles are rough and don't appear to have been sanded smooth at all. The ending is all globby and gross. I can't imagine holding it in my hands and working with it. Terrible quality! Don't worry

Pros
  • These natural stones can be used as a steel polisher to close frames and smooth out metal imperfections. Agate's advantage over steel is that it will not damage your stones. Other uses include applying gold leaf and silver foil, polishing artistic metallic clay before firing, and bookbinding for a variety of tasks.
Cons
  • Not sure
