Purchased to replace a blown air compressor cartridge. Installation was easy: I cut off the old one, put on the compression ring and inserted the new cartridge into the hose. Tighten the ring and you're done.

Not the best solution, but it can be done. It appears solid so time will tell. The flip-lock mechanism doesn't work when you push it all the way down, indicating it's deeper than it should be. You don't have to press all the way down for it to work. I use this on a bike pump so it's rarely used and it's that good, but for more frequent use I wouldn't recommend it

I have 2 Black and Decker Air Station electric pumps, one at least 30 years old and a 'newer' model purchased within the last 10-12 years (for road bike tires). Previously replaced an air cartridge on an old (car tire) pump by buying a cheap pump and replacing it with an air cartridge. However, air cartridges on both pumps became a problem, ie. leaked and jumped out of the tire valve stem under load.
