Great solution for iptable management and service control

Very easy to get up, very simple rules that can be used in all kinds of scenarios (we are using it as ingress controller). It's been quite some time since I started working at this project but from what people told me when we had an issue they were able solve or point us into right direction without any effort required by our side was great! Nothing really - maybe just one thing which would require more documentation about how exactly does ciclum behave under certain conditions could have…

Pros
  • Easy enough setup / configuration for most needs.
  • Great community around them,
  • Good docs with examples :)
Cons
  • Documentation is lacking, not many features provided compared

Great solution if want full-control over Docker Container

I like that cilium allows you to control all traffic going through the network interface of your container. This makes it very flexible to use and helps us solve our problem quickly. The documentation needs some improvement since I found out things by myself, and there are not so much tutorials or examples to help get started quickly. Also sometimes the error messages are too technical. It's a good tool for controlling networking in containers and is easy to configure. We solved some problems…

Pros
  • With this feature we have achieved better security compared before using just hosts' IP addresses as restrictions without knowing what they actually do once connected into those ports within another host instance(s) epecially if having multiple internal subnets / VLAN interfaces etc..
Cons
  • Mostly okay, but...
